Used any unusual decks that you think need tweaking? Perhaps you've got a new idea for a deck that warrants further investigation. Or maybe just a simple combo and cards that are designed to bring it out. Whichever it is, discuss it here.

I was on GameFAQs and somebody suggested a pair of cards for slowing donw the current TeleDAD metagame at the moment: Feudal Lord Contest (released in CSOC) and an old card called Rivalry of Warlords.

Rivalry makes it so that each player can only have one Type of monster on the field, while Feudal Lord Contest will make it so that each player can only have 1 Attribute out at once.

Now, not many decks run a lone type and attribute, making the potential disruption of this deck idea viable. Naturally you would need a mass of spell/trap protection as well as running a lone type/attribute yourself.

Due to the amount of draw potential I chose Dark/Warrior as my limit, as there is Allure, Destiny Draw, Trade-In, Destiny Hero engine (minus Disk Commander).

There is Malicious, Fires of Doomsday and The Immortal Bushi available for helping out on the Level 8 Tribute front, Colossal Fighter would do well in the Synchro deck along with Junk Warrior, and you could use Junk Synchron for calling them out.

Dark General Freed would also be handy for calling out Dark Monsters, and you could probably even find a place for Dark Grepher, Armageddon Knight and Dark Crusader. Crush Card Virus and Deck Destruction Virus would also be good choices as would Sangan for getting out those Junk Synchrons.

I was also thinking you could adapt this idea for King Tiger Wanghu in a Beast deck, along with Burden of the Mighty to further restrict the monsters that can be called out to the field, providing that you can protect your cards from the opponent's effects. Naturally if you're using Wanghu, try running 3 copies of By Order Of The Emperor so that you are free to summon low level Beast monsters and draw a free card as a result of negating Wanghu's effect during the summon, in order to set up your opponent for the fall.

You could probably adapt this lockdown strategy for any type/attribute mix, all depending on what cards are left to you once you do so and if you can make a strategy from it.

Another suggestion would be to do it with a Light/Fairy deck, namely a Counter-Fairy style deck so that you already have trap protection and a good reason to use it. You could use Vandal'gyon and Trade-In to good effect here, bringing out the Dark monster when your traps aren't active for some extra hurt, and discarding it for Trade-In when they are. Win-Win.
