Blizzard: Welcome, Kungen and Awake. Could you introduce yourselves?
Kungen: Sure. I'm Thomas, inside the game known as the tauren warrior Kungen. I am the guild leader and main tank of Nihilum.
Awake: Hello. I'm John, known as Awake, a blood elf paladin. I'm one of the officers at Nihilum.
Blizzard: First of all, could you tell us a bit about your guild and its creation?
Kungen: I think the beginning of the word "Nihilum" was a guild that some real life friends of mine had back in Dark Age of Camelot – I'm not even sure where the name comes from. So after moving from the US World of Warcraft realms, where I played in the beginning, to the EU realms, me and a few friends decided to start our own guild and named it Nihilum. I always had bigger plans for this guild; I wanted it to be the best guild on the server. And I think I reached my goal

Blizzard: What realm are you playing on now?
Kungen: Magtheridon, EU.
Blizzard: Nihilum is especially known for its world first kills. Can you explain that a bit further?
Kungen: First kill means to beat an endgame boss mob in World of Warcraft for the first time in its existence. Since the behaviour and abilities of those bosses are not known before, tactics have to be developed and a lot of hard work is involved in beating a hard boss for the first time. Nihilum accomplished the world first kill for all bosses since C'Thun.
Blizzard: That means you were the first guild in the world to finish the latest endgame dungeon in World of Warcraft, The Black Temple?
Kungen: Yes, including its end boss, Illidan the Betrayer. It was a great feeling of satisfaction, beating him at the end of this fantastic dungeon, full of lore and atmosphere.
Blizzard: What's your favourite raid dungeon in the game?
Awake: Naxxramas is probably the best, but the Black Temple is very close.
Blizzard: OK, let's talk about Blizzard and the Games Convention: have you already tried the new expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, at our booth?
Awake: Of course!
Blizzard: What is your first impression?
Awake: It's pretty cool, the design is nice, the area you can play in is big and has interesting quests.
Kungen: Yes, we also tried Utgarde Keep, the first playable dungeon, and advanced up to the first boss. So far we really like it and we're looking forward to playing it. I'm also especially interested in the Death Knight class and the new PvP features.
Blizzard: Today you will have your own special appearance at the Blizzard booth: You will be doing a live raid on the Black Temple. What can visitors of the Games Convention expect to see there?
Awake: First of all, we are going to face Illidan the Betrayer in the Black Temple. If enough time remains, we could start raiding another dungeon. It will be very interesting for ourselves, too, as this is our first public raid in front of an audience. We are confident, however, that we will perform well and give you a good show.
Blizzard: How many members of Nihilum will be here in Leipzig?
Awake: Well, it will be me, Kungen, and Landolph, and Johnny will give a live commentary of what we're doing there, so everyone knows what's up.
Blizzard: What do you think will be the hardest part of the encounter?
Awake: Phase 2 will be the critical point. I just hope we will have enough Paladins online.
Blizzard: Nihilum is well known in the World of Warcraft community and has received much positive as well as negative feedback, especially in the official forums. Is there anything you would like to tell your critics?
Awake: Yes. First of all, once we wrote "no applications by women" into our application form. People got it wrong and flamed us for this, but it was only a joke. Girls are welcome to apply if they have what it takes. We don't discriminate against anyone. We are also not playing 16 hours a day as is often said - we all have real lives and try to find a balance with our hobby, which is World of Warcraft, and it works very well for us.
Blizzard: Thank you for the interview.
Awake: Thanks! See you tomorrow at the booth.
Kungen: Thank you too!
