April 07, 2007 Louis' revenge .. in Technicolor SACKED Louis Walsh gets his revenge on Simon Cowell tonight — by appearing on a rival TV show. He features on BBC1’s Any Dream Will Do — as Simon’s new show Grease Is The Word kicks off on ITV1. TV Biz can reveal that Louis, 54, met the Joseph wannabes at Andrew Lloyd Webber’s sprawling castle in Ireland. Irish pop manager Louis was in the audience — sitting alongside show adviser Jason Donovan — when the 20 finalists performed for Lord Lloyd Webber and his friends and family at Kiltinan Castle. Louis, who launched top boybands Boyzone and Westlife, was invited to give his thoughts on who should go through to the final 12. The dozen will battle it out on live TV for the lead role in a new West End production of Joseph and his Technicolor Dreamcoat. Louis makes his appearance a month after being sacked from The X Factor — and accusing pal Simon of stabbing him in the back. However, he is still set to manage the winning act from the ITV1 telly talent hit later this year. But we’re guessing that Simon won’t be too pleased to see Louis on the BBC1 show — especially as his search for a new Danny and Sandy kicks off. Simon produces the show but does NOT appear, leaving old flame Sinitta, I’m A Celeb star David Gest, theatre producer David Ian and choreographer Brian Friedman to duke it out. TV Biz can reveal that former 90s pop star Kavana is through to the final ten couples on Grease and could become the new Danny in the West End. Kavana, 29 — real name Anthony Kavanagh — hit the charts with I Can Make You Feel Good in 1997. But his pop career went down the drain and he moved to LA. The Sun |
