Ok, I don't like this article at all... The Sun is always rude when talking about Westlife and this time is no exception.... Also, Westlife recently said they're looking for new songs for the next album so I'd say don't read too much into this until we have something more official about it. JUST when you thought WESTLIFE couldn’t get worse, the cheesy boyband are about to sink to a new low. They plan to record an album of movie songs - with the Titanic theme the CD’s ultimate disaster. CELINE DION’s My Heart Will Go On topped the chart in 1998 when released with the blockbuster. Now it will chart all over again as the big single from Westlife At The Movies. Talk about two monstrosities colliding. And there are other naff tunes the lads are tipped to pick. Power ballad I Will Always Love You would need a Bodyguard to save it from murder by Westlife. But as a track for the KEVIN COSTNER flick it was a WHITNEY HOUSTON hit. WET WET WET’s cover of Love Is All Around was No1 for 15 weeks as the theme for Four Weddings And A Funeral in 1994. But if swept back to No1 by Westlife it would be as a funeral march for the chart’s credibility. BRYAN ADAMS was No1 for 16 weeks in 1991 with (Everything I Do) I Do It For You, from movie smash Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves - and it seems a cert for Westlife. They have subjected us to an album of love songs and one of swing classics. But clearly these were the tip of the iceberg. The latest release is even cheesier. Credit/Source: The Sun |

Personally i think that they either need to do an original album or a GH2 with original songs on it, all we ahve heard for a while is covers, and Amazing seems such a long time ago since we had anything original... thats my point of view . so i hope theyre not going to do this movie album./ |

Yes I agree Jo... they NEED to release an album with new songs for their own sake... I mean, I prefer it too and most fans if not all don't prefer covers but it's also for Westlife themselves. I think another covers album after The Love Album would be a bad move. I think a GH would be a bad move too. They haven' t released that many singles since GH1. Next year it will be different cause they will be celebrating 10 years but now I think they NEEEED to release an album with new songs. |

I didn't really mind about The Love Album and I loved it and couldn't stand everyone screaming against it but I think a second themed album is too soon. I'm sure I will love it but I would love an original album very much at the moment. |

that is rude.. but i don't like a the movie songs idea either.. i used to love the titanic song but i couldn't bare to hear it at all these days.. it's just way over. and i'm looking forward to something more special coz it's their 10th anniv. it's too early to say if it's true though.. better not believe anything yet |

ok seems like i'm to only one who likes movie album  I'm supposed to be studying, but couldn't resist to answer... I think movie album is a better idea than a GH 2. I just don't want another album with songs i already heard them sing thousends of times... I agree, new studio album would be great, but i don't think that will be for this year. So, if i have to chose, just give me that movie album!! :D :D |
