2fm XMAS BALL IN AID OF ISPCC 2fm’s Breakfast Republic, Hozier announced The 2fm Xmas Ball which will take place in the 3Arena on Wednesday 23rd December, 2015. RTÉ 2fm and MCD have come together to host the biggest Xmas Ball ever experienced in aid of the ISPCC. Hozier, Little Green Cars, Gavin James, Riptide Movement, Ryan Sheridan, Hudson Taylor will all perform live on the night and more exciting acts to be announced. The 2fm Xmas Ball will be hosted by all 2fm presenters including Nicky Byrne & Jenny Greene, Eoghan McDermott, Bernard O’Shea, Jen Maguire and Keith Walsh, Tracy Clifford and more. Celebrate Christmas with the stars at the 2fm Xmas Ball in aid of the ISPCC - Tickets €45.00 go on sale on Friday October 23rd at 9am, and can be purchased at Ticketmaster outlets nationwide, via the 24 hr Hotline: 0818 719 300, or online at www.ticketmaster.ie. The ISPCC is the national child protection and welfare charity in Ireland. Everything it does is focused on keeping children safe, and giving them the support they need to thrive. ISPCC Child and Family support and mentoring services work with 1500 families and children across Ireland, and its 24-hour national listening service Childine responded to 460,000 contacts from children last year. The ISPCC helps children cope with issues that affect them such as; isolation and loneliness, bullying, mental health difficulties, cyber safety, drug and alcohol misuse, trauma, violence and abuse. While some ISPCC services are a partnership with government, more than 80% of our funding comes from the generosity of the Irish public, individual or corporate donations. ISPCC also depends on the commitment of its 600 volunteers who give their time to listen to, and mentor, children across Ireland, and provide an invaluable support to a generation of children who need help. Caroline Downey President of The ISPCC and producer of the 2fm Xmas Ball said “We work to support and help children 24-hours a day, every day, throughout the whole year. However, at Christmas, some children need even more support to cope. Throughout the Christmas period, we will be supporting, listening and protecting children. Myself, Grainia Long our CEO and the children who need and use our services are incredibly grateful for the support of all the artists, RTÉ 2fm, 3 Arena and MCD for their ongoing commitment to keeping children safe.” Head of 2fm, Dan Healy said: “We’re absolutely thrilled that ISPCC have chosen 2fm as their partner for this prestigious event. Not only does it give 2fm a great opportunity to support this wonderful charity – it also gives us the opportunity to reinforce our ongoing support of great Irish artists and Irish music. As part of our public service remit, putting Irish charities front and centre is a key component of our output and there’s nothing more important than giving aid and support to vulnerable children. This partnership is spearheaded by Caroline Downey and we’re full of admiration for her and the work of her team at the ISPCC. It’s guaranteed to be a great event!” All parties involved with the 2fm Xmas Ball are providing their services free of charge on the night including artists, organisers and 3Arena. The complete funding of the concert goes towards the financial support and aid of the 24 hour phone-line and the anti bullying campaign dedicated to helping children. Tickets €45.00 go on sale this Friday October 23rd at 9am from the following outlets: Ticketmaster outlets nationwide, 24 hr Hotline: 0818 719 300 24 hr, or online: www.ticketmaster.ie |
