GET the hankies out, Westlife fans. Former member Brian McFadden - in Adelaide today to promote his new album - says he will never play with the boys again.
Brian, who is engaged to singer Delta Goodrem, says he also won't be doing any Westlife covers at any of his upcoming Australian gigs.
While Adelaide has been left off the touring schedule, Brian says he wouldn't mind doing some acoustic shows here.
But he says audiences shouldn't read too much into the lyrics of his original material.
"I mean obviously there is a huge tabloid interest into my personal life rather than the music so it's like people listen to see what story can I get out of this song," he says.
"I just write songs for what they are. Everyone is going to take their own views about what the song is about."

Studio Sessions
His new album, Set In Stone, which is released on Saturday, marks the start of a clean slate for McFadden.
His new persona, as a singer/songwriter rather than all-dancing, all-singing pop prince, is revealed today with the launch of The Daily Telegraph Studio Sessions.
After recording acoustic versions of his new single Like Only A Woman Can and album opener Twisted, McFadden said that falling in love with Goodrem not only changed his life, but his career.
"She's everything. Besides my personal life and how she's taken me from being a pretty miserable person and very pessimistic and not particularly liking myself, when it comes to my music career, she completely turned that around," he said.
"She gave me confidence I never had, even in Westlife. I never had confidence in my creative ability or my voice or my playing. She brought out this confidence that helped me make this record."
McFadden said Australia and Ireland would be the launchpad for the album, followed by Asia, Europe and, he hoped, the US.

As for England, the 28-year-old is hesitant to put himself in the firing line despite guaranteed chart success because of his past popularity.
Both he and Goodrem were subjected to bitter attacks in the media and on the street when their relationship began after the disintegration of his marriage to Atomic Kitten's Kerry Katona.
McFadden said working in Australia meant he could leave that baggage behind
"This is a very hard market to break and the most amazing music comes from this country. Trying to get in among all that and succeed is a real test," he said.
