'I'm not in headspace to release new music' - former Westlife star Kian Egan y June 2 2017 7:33 AM Kian Egan has said fans will not see him releasing new music any time soon because the music industry is a "difficult world" to survive in. The former Westlife singer (37) released his debut solo album Home in 2014 shortly after he won I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here but he is not so sure he wants to carry on in the music business. "As far as the industry is concerned, and releasing solo material, I'm not in that headspace. "I'm not chasing that world. It's become a very difficult world to exist. "I always said when I was in Westlife I didn't want to be on tour, going around the world when I have a family at home. "I'd rather be with them and it feels like now is the time." Kian is father to Koa (5) and Zekey (2) and Jodi is pregnant with the couple's third child. The Sligo star insisted that his family will always come first and he does not want to go back to the days of touring. "No matter how successful you are in the music industry, that's what you've got to do. Your life is on the road. "Even if you were living in London your life is not in one place," he told the Herald. Of the couple's forthcoming new arrival, Kian admitted they're not fussed whether they have a boy or a girl. "I don't think we're really bothered. We have two boys and if we have another boy, amazing. If we have a girl, amazing. If it's a boy, maybe we will just have to go again," he said. Kian was speaking at the launch of Coca-Cola's Clean Coasts Week, promoting pride in Ireland's shores to cut down on litter. Herald |

Thank you for posting Jo.. Its a shame that we won't be hearing new music from him, but if he isn't in the right headspace for it that is completely fine too, he has given up most of his life to us and music, so its about time he got to enjoy his life. |
