Kian Egan: 'I warned Louis Walsh not to do I'm A Celebrity' The former King of the Jungle told the X Factor judge he would be traumatized by the show By Sean O'Grady | Showbiz Editor Jan 3, 2016 | 09:58 Kian Egan has admitted that he he warned his former manager Louis Walsh not to do I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here. The former X Factor judge was rumoured to be on TV bosses top wishlist for the 2015 series but ultimately decided not to take part. Kian has now revealed that he told Louis to reconsider going into the jungle because he thought the experience would be “traumatic” for him. Posted Image Jungle: Kian told Louis not to do I’m A Celeb “For Louis, to lose his phone would be traumatic. He’s an older man in his 60s and I think he’d struggle with the food situation,” he said. “It’s a huge task to ask of anyone, especially someone that age — look at Lady C. You need to be mentally prepared and I knew Louis wasn’t,” he told The Sun. Kian, who won the show in 2013, told Louis to watch some episodes and make his decision based off that. “He’d never watched it so I told him to go off and look at it. He came back and said, ‘You’re right, it’s not for me’. He would have been hugely entertaining — but for all the wrong reasons.” Posted Image Tough: Kian reckons Louis would find the jungle experience traumatic | NICKY JOHNSTON Meanwhile, the former Westlife star is looking ahead to this year’s series of The Voice of Ireland. Brushing off criticism that the show has yet to produce a major star, Kian insisted that none of the singers have had that great song that will turn them into a star. “I don’t think there’s been a huge star in The Voice series around the world. We’ve had amazing singers but I don’t think any have had that amazing song.” The Voice of Ireland airs on RTE One today at 6.30pm. Source: http://www.goss.ie/2016/01/56311/56311/ |
