Shane Filan's ex-Westlife bandmates have yet to see any of his sell-out shows

MELANIE FINN – UPDATED 14 MARCH 2014 09:35 AM

None of Westlife's members have been to any of Shane Filan's sell-out solo gigs yet.

But after 14 years together as a chart-topping band, Shane (34) reckons that it would probably be strange for them to see him performing on his own.

The group are still on the best of terms, but Shane thinks it is unlikely they will come to see the last night in his 'You and Me' tour in the Olympia Theatre tonight.

"I don't think they are (coming). Of course they're all invited but I don't know, it's just one of those things," he said.

"Maybe it's a bit weird them coming to see me, I don't know. I don't think they're coming down this time -- maybe next time hopefully."

However, he told the Herald how there's "no rivalry" between them now they're carving out their own solo careers.

Kian Egan is releasing his debut solo album today, while Nicky Byrne has also confirmed he's working on new material.

"Not at all. We all worry about our own individual stuff that we're doing, and we're all doing well, and we're all happy," he continued.

"It's nice to see that when we're coming out of a band, that we're all doing stuff and working, being successful," he added.

Shane went on to say how Nicky Byrne has been very supportive now that he has his own 2fm show, even playing his single 'Knee Deep In My Heart.'

"He's played it a lot actually, which is great," he said.

"I was actually on his show by pure fluke last week.

In the meantime, Shane plans on taking a break, to enjoy some quality time with wife Gillian and their three children Nicole, Shane and Patrick.

Thanks for posting Jo.

Its a real shame that the rest of the lads haven't been to any of the shows, it would have really nice if they had all been to at least one, to their support because we all know how nervous Shane was about doing this by himself.

But I can understand they have all been busy with their solo projects.
