THE BOSS
The former frontman of Westlife, Shane Filan, is back with a bang - his solo single Knee Deep in My Heart is a very different sound but still super romantic, it is inspired by his wife after all!

Speaking to the Loose Women, Shane said: "It is getting a really good reaction - I've been really looking forward to releasing it. Definitely my biggest hit so far.

"It is about me falling in love for the first time, when I was 18 or whatever when I met Gillian. It is kind of a true story about that."

Another true story that Shane told Kaye Adams and the ladies was a bit of a shock - he almost didn't make it into Westlife.

He said: "Simon Cowell at the beginning didn't want me in the band at all.

"My first audition - I did a really bad audition and Louis Walsh was really upset with me.

"But I got a second chance - icame back about four months later, dyed my hair blonde and Simon didn't know. Louis just said: 'That's the new guy we got.'

"Simon put it in his autobiography actually - it was a funny story."

Shane revealed that he's always loved singing from a young age and that Uptown Girl by Billy Joel - covered by Westlife - was actually the first record he ever bought! Cute!
