Article shortened to mention only Westlife part, the full story can be red by clicking the link at the bottom of the page. The pop group Westlife even hired a group of lookalikes for a launch party in November 2000. They were releasing an album at the same time as the Spice Girls released Forever, and there was a battle going on between them to see who would get to No 1. I guess they wanted it to look as though the real Spice Girls had turned up at their party to show that they were the better band. We had our hair and make-up done and were taken in a limo to the front of the hotel. As I stepped out onto the red carpet I was greeted by a barrage of flashing lights, and microphones were pushed into my face. It was a glimpse of what life must be like for the real Spice Girls. We were interviewed by the Big Breakfast show and then swept into the hotel to meet Lulu and the band The Honeyz. Westlife took us under their wing. "You're my favourite" whispered Brian McFadden in my ear. I got tipsy on the free champagne and then went back home to my husband and three children. SOurce: daily mail.co.uk |
