Ok, its too late to vote for Sligo however i thoguth id psot and we keep an eye on the website and see if Kian, Mark and Shanes hometown makes it to the Irish monopoly GO for it! Get voting to get Sligo on Irish Monopoly board SLIGO is in danger of being left out of the new all-Ireland Monopoly board - if citizens don’t get voting quickly. Due to space constraints, the new Irish Monopoly board can only feature 22 out of the 32 counties . . . So it's up Irish people to vote for their home county. Tipperary, Roscommon and Cork are currently in the top three spots on the leaderboard on the official website at www.monopoly.ie. Sligo however, is currently languishing in 26th place, only sixth from the bottom. If Sligo people don’t get voting online, then Sligo may well be left out of the board game altogether - and we don’t want that, now do we? The competition was launched on April 27 but it looks like Sligo people haven't been quick enough on the draw. Over the last number of weeks, we at the Weekender have received a number of emails from concerned Sligonians who wanted to spread the word that there are only a few days left to vote for their home town. So Bits & Pieces is delighted to be able to publicise this crisis. There are still four days (until Friday, May 25) to get your votes in - so help get Sligo onto the Irish Monopoly board by logging on to Irish Monopoly webiste Source: Sligo Weekender |
