STARS RALLY TO CAUSE

19th August 2011

By Kim Dawson

MANBAND Westlife are the latest superstars to back the Daily Star’s Reclaim Our Streets crusade.

The boys – Nicky Byrne and Shane Filan, both 32, and Kian Egan and Mark Feehily, both 31 – urged the nation to join them.

Nicky, above with the band, told us: “It’s important to do all we can to help families and businesses that were affected by the riots.”

Peter Andre, 38, reaffirmed his support after being among the first to answer our rallying cry when we launched the crusade. The star of ITV2’s Here 2 Help, top right, urged: “Spread the word.”

Six-time British MMA cage fighting champion Denniston Sutherland, 38, also weighed in.

The hardman, middle right, said: ‘‘Rioters need to use their brains and show respect and restraint.’’

Pop star Shayne Ward, 26, added his voice to the campaign. The X Factor winner, right, who has sold three million records told us: ‘‘This way all the decent people can have their voice heard.’’

Thanks Jo for posting, I have the paper so I saw this morning that the lads were joining the campaign. It looked horrid, especially the fires, I used to shop in Woolwich & can't imagine how the people were feeling. Anyway I hope the campaign goes well, I feel so sorry that people have lost their homes. :)
