Westlife to star in cartoon Updated 21 December 2001, 19.29 Westlife are planning to star in their own cartoon series. The group have got together with the makers of cheeky 'toon South Park for the project. Nicky Byrne said it was manager Louis Walsh's idea. He thinks it could be a good way of becoming famous in America. US is tough market The US is always a particularly difficult place for UK stars to make it because it's just so big. Lucky American viewers will be able to catch the pilot programme in the New Year. If they like it the series will be shown on Fox TV and then hopefully make it onto British screens in summer 2002.
