Dude, wake up! We've got a world to save.

Strompy, I don't have any characters in the office with Brandon to reveal it, but there can be a single rotter in there. I'll get Eli and the others to reunite with him in there shortly. |

Turns out I am terrible at predicting how long these arcs will take. I have already well exceeded my guess. |

Oh yeah, look at that. Funny how that worked out. (Seriously -- I had no idea Maxwell was going to headbutt him.) |

You know what else is funny? I didn't even see this post when I made the post about the little girl. |

That is indeed funny. Great minds. (I just posted that on the off chance you were awaiting instructions, or wondering if I meant for anything in particular to be there after all.) |

Okay Strompy, I'm definitely winding down now. Prepare to take the baton any minute. Geographically, we're still going to be at the bar, as you could probably guess. If there's someplace on the map Seven would like you to leave off at to better lead into his next arc, I'll let him tell you. Otherwise it's whatever you want to do, even if it's only barely structured. |

In other news -- Eli's survival. Man, at the last second I was sooooooo tempted to legitimately kill him. I didn't plan to build up to that, but in the posts leading up to it it became a very enticing option. There were a couple arguments for and against it. For it: -- It would be truly unexpected. I feel semi-confident saying that, because it was unexpected even by me. -- Probably the optimal 'no one is safe' move, considering Eli's the POV character in the very first post. -- It would be a complete character arc for him. This was the biggest pro-Eli-dying-now point for me. He started not wanting to get close to people, because he knew he would get too close. Of course, he did, and his death would have been the ultimate price for it (his closeness led to him losing control and executing Evan, which almost led to someone else doing the same thing to him). So his fears would have been realized, but at the same time they wouldn't have turned out to be so scary after all because he got to spend his final hours with the people he was close with, and his final act was saving some of those people (from a situation he created, but still). I would have been happy with that. Against it: -- I want to keep playing Eli! I like him. -- I do have other stuff for Eli to do and experience. His growth is not complete. -- I also want to play Emmett! I think there's potentially interesting stuff to do with him, too, and there's no way he coulda joined the group if he was Eli's killer. -- My last arc started hopeful (everyone alive, lots of supplies) and ended mournful (Mac dead, half the supplies gone, Eli a murderer). This arc started mournful (Randall bitten, the girls kidnapped, a horde coming) and ended hopeful (everyone's alive, their bonds have been reaffirmed, and Eli's sin forgiven). I really like that symmetry. Obviously, the latter side won out. But the former was heavily considered. |

And that's it! I am ceding the floor, and happy to do it. After all that, I'll be glad to follow someone else's lead for a while. S'all yours Stromps. Whatever you wanna do for however long. |
