Details of Disappearance Kindred dropped his children off at day care on the morning of October 1, 2001 and then continued on to a now-defunct auto parts store on State Route 60 east of Bartow, Florida. He was last seen talking to two men at the business. The men have not been publicly identified or charged in his case, but they are considered suspects. Kindred has never been heard from again after that. His truck was later found abandoned at a Lakeland Speedway convenience store located at Comtree Road and A-Z Parkway. Police suspect foul play was involved in Kindred's disappearance. Authorities believe he was involved in unspecified criminal activity with the men he was last seen with, and that he had a falling out with them which may have lead to his disappearance. Kindred was put on probation in January 2001 after pleading no contest to grand theft. His family describes him as a loving father; he has three children. He resided in Winter Haven, Florida in 2001, and worked as a truck driver. His case remains unsolved.
