Joseph Lee Jones Above Images: Jones, circa 2001 Vital Statistics at Time of Disappearance Missing Since: June 16, 2001 from Cedar Creek, Texas Classification: Endangered Missing Date of Birth: April 6, 1957 Age: 44 years old Height and Weight: 5'10, 215 pounds Distinguishing Characteristics: Caucasian male. Brown hair, hazel eyes. Jones's nickname is Joe. He has three scars on the top left side of his head, a surgical scar extending from his navel to the middle of his back, and burn scars just below both his knees. There is a tattoo of a banner flanked by two birds on his upper right arm, and his left ear his pierced. Jones's head was shaved at the time of his disappearance. Clothing/Jewelry Description: A white t-shirt, tan shorts, gray tennis shoes, and a gold wedding band with a cross on it. Medical Conditions: Jones suffers from depression. He also has seizures and memory loss caused by unspecified medical problems. He did not have his medication with him when he vanished. Jones is classified as disabled. Details of Disappearance Jones was last seen departing his house on June 16, 2001. He was riding his purple 1994 Yamaha Virago motorcycle, which bears Texas license plates numbered 012X3C, on Highway 21 in Cedar Creek, Texas. He has never been heard from again. His wife reported him missing one day after he was last seen. Jones's motorcycle was discovered abandoned in the woods in the Elm Ridge subdivision in Bastrop County, Texas on March 11, 2002, ten months after his disappearance. There was no sign of Jones at the scene. Authorities are not sure what happened to Jones. One theory is that he left voluntarily because he was unhappy with his marriage, but investigators consider him to be endangered and some believe he met with foul play. There is no evidence to support any theory. His case remains unsolved.
