She departed from the hotel and has never been heard from again. She may have left the building with the intention of meeting someone. She left her son behind when she vanished. Apgar's family believes George may have been involved in her disappearance, but law enforcement authorities have not identified him as a suspect. They would like to speak with him, however. Police say there is no evidence of foul play in Apgar's disappearance, but her family says she was afraid for her life prior to her disappearance. Photographs of George are unavailable, but he is described as a brown-haired, blue-eyed man who was 36 years old at the time of his and Apgar's disappearance. He is 5'9 tall and weighs 170 pounds. Ell Only after the last tree has been cut down; Only after the last fish has been caught; Only after the last river has been poisoned; Only then will you realize that money cannot be eaten. | |

New Technology May Find Missing Clermont County Woman Last Update: 12:24 pm Today marks 10 years since a Clermont County woman disappeared. Police believe Shari Apgar was murdered - but her body has never been found. Local 12's Deborah Dixon has the plea from Apgar's family - plus the new tools police are using to solve her murder. As a little girl Shari Rose Apgar dreamed of becoming a ballerina. The petite beauty had a silly side and a big heart. Donna Penker is her sister: "We shared secrets, thoughts, hopes, we were always always really close." Later in life that meant sharing secrets of drugs and violence. Shari became controlled by prescription drugs and her husband, Mike George. "I know he hit her. I know she would have bruises, broken bones. She was little, frail, and scared." But 1999 Shari found the strength to divorce Mike George. Shari Rose had a new boyfriend when she disappeared November 18th, 1999. The missing person report filed by her mother says Shari was afraid of her ex-husband because he threatened to kill her if she left him. Shari told her sister to call the cops if she didn't hear from her for three days. "Mike had threatened to kill her, she believed he would do it this time." Detective Lori Saylor of the Clermont County Sheriff Department: "She's definitely dead MURDERED? Murdered." Some of the stories of murder swirl around Cincinnati's chatter of the Iron Horseman motorcycle gang and the clubhouse where they hung out. Michael George was a member of the club. And what happened to Shari's remains? That's another set of stories. "They range from her being in the Ohio Rive,r chopped up and put in garbage bags and thrown away, buried under property ONE THING IS CONSISTENT? She was murdered. THESE STORY-TELLERS WHO ARE SAYING KILLED HER? Her ex husband." Through his attorney, Mike George had nothing to say for this story. Years ago he told police he didn't know what happened to Shari Rose. "I'm hoping if are unidentified remains found this day forward or 9 years ago, police have data sitting somewhere." Detective Saylor is turning to the Justice Department's new database to find Shari's remains, that could prove murder. She's entered Shari's dental records and DNA in NAMUS, The National Missing and Unidentified System. It's a database that matches missings with the remains of 50,000 unidentified dead across the country. Perhaps Shari's remains are among them. For Donna it's not so much about justice anymore it's about finding Shari and bringing her home. "My family, Shari deserves a place to rest we deserve a place to go and visit." A grave where Shari's family can place her favorite flower...a red rose. Shari Apgar's family is holding a candlelight vigil for her tonight - which marks ten years since she disappeared. The vigil is at Trinity United Methodist Church on Wolfpen-Pleasant Hill Road in Milford. The vigil starts at seven o'clock. And if you have any information about Shari Apgar's disappearance call the Clermont County Sheriff's Office at 732-7545. Or you can call our partners at Crimestoppers - 352-3040.
