Vital Statistics at Time of Disappearance

Missing Since: February 16, 1993 from East Norriton Township, Pennsylvania
Classification: Endangered Missing
Date Of Birth: February 2, 1906
Age: 87 years old
Height and Weight: 5'9, 155 pounds
Distinguishing Characteristics: Thinning gray hair. Bean wears eyeglasses.
Medical Conditions: Bean has weak knees and utilizes a walking stick.


Details of Disappearance

Bean was last seen at the Facenda-Whitaker Bowling Alley in East Norriton Township, Pennsylvania on February 16, 1993. He was a resident of Skippack Township at the time. Bean never returned to his house and has not been seen again. His neighbor reported him as a missing person on February 27, 1993, 11 days after Bean was last seen. Bean's black 1991 Ford Ranger with Pennsylvania license plates numbered CHZ-1833 was discovered abandoned in the bowling alley's parking lot on March 1, 1993. There has been no trace of him since that time and his case remains unsolved.
Bean was described as alert and well-aware of his surroundings at the time of his 1993 disappearance. His residence in Skippack Township has since been demolished and is now the site of the Skippack Elementary School.

Date of Incident: February 16, 1993

Location: 4081 heckler Road, Skippack Township, Montgomery County, PA
(Currently the site of the Skippack Elementary School)

Case Synopsis:

The Pennsylvania State Police, Skippack, Montgomery County, continue their investigation into the disappearance of John Denner Bean. Bead did reside at 4081 Heckler Road, Skippack Township, Montgomery County, PA. The residence has since bee demolished and is the current site of the Skippack Elementary School.

Bean was last seen on February 16, 1993 at the Facenda-Whitaker Bowling Alley in East Norriton Township, Montgomery County, PA. A neighbor reported Bean missing on February 27, 1993. His 1991 black Ford Ranger bearing PA registration CHZ-1833 was located in the bowling alley parking lot on March 1, 1993.

Bean was 87 years old when he disappeared. He was alert and cognizant of his surroundings at the time of his disappearance. He did possess weak knees and utilized a walking stick.
