Robert Villarreal Above: Villarreal, circa 1989 Vital Statistics at Time of Disappearance Missing Since: May 1989 from Allegan County, Michigan Classification: Endangered Missing Date Of Birth: July 31, 1961 Age: 27 years old Height and Weight: 5'8, 160 - 180 pounds Distinguishing Characteristics: Hispanic male. Black hair, brown eyes. Villarreal has a previous injury to his left elbow area which prevents full extension of that arm. The initials "RV" are tattooed in the webbing between his left thumb and index finger. Villarreal has a crucifix tattoo on one of his forearms. He may have a moustache. It is possible that Villarreal's hair may be longer in length than seen in the photo above. His nicknames are Bob, Bobby and/or Villy. Clothing/Jewelry Description: Possibly a silver St. Christopher medal. Details of Disappearance Villarreal was last seen sometime during May 1989 in Allegan County, Michigan. He left most of his personal belongings behind at his residence, including his vehicle and his wallet. Villarreal has never been heard from again. Authorities initially believed he left the area to avoid an upcoming court date, but his family believes it is unlikely Villarreal would have not contacted anyone since 1989 for that reason. He does have a criminal record, but is a non-violent offender. His case remains unsolved. Birth Date: July 31, 1961 Race: Other Gender: Male Height: 5'8" Weight: 160 lbs Hair: Black Eyes: Brown Robert Villarreal was reported missing in May 1989. He was last seen that same month and year at his home in Douglas, Mich. After no contact with family or friends, his apartment was checked and his belongings, including money and wallet, were found there. He did not tell anyone he was leaving and has never been located. He was almost 28 years old at the time of his disappearance and would be almost 48 years old today. Anyone with information is asked to contact Allegan County Cold Case members Det. HOLLAND, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The Michigan State Police are looking into the case of a man who went missing near Holland 26 years ago. In May of 1989, Robert Villarreal--then 27--went missing after being last seen at his mother's home near Holland. He was asleep on his mother's couch as she left for work. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that Villarreal had left his wallet, money, and other personal belongings at his home in Douglas. Tuesday would be Villarreal's 53rd birthday. The Michigan State Police is asking that anyone who may have information concerning his disappearance contact the Wayland post, at (269)792-2213. |
