John Wesley Davis Vital Statistics at Time of Disappearance Missing Since: February 5, 1981 from Tallahassee, Florida Classification: Missing Date Of Birth: March 9, 1948 Age: 32 years old Height and Weight: 5'11, 165 pounds Distinguishing Characteristics: Brown hair, blue eyes. Details of Disappearance Davis was last seen in his hometown of Tallahassee, Florida on February 5, 1981. His truck was discovered in the Tallahassee Regional Airport parking lot later in the day. A parking stub was located inside the vehicle; it had been time-stamped 1:18 p.m. on the date of Davis's disappearance. Davis never mentioned any possible travel plans to his family and was not depressed at the time he vanished. He has never been heard from again. Davis was married in 1981 and also owned a contracting business. He is a graduate of Florida State University. Davis's hobbies include writing, hunting and fishing. He spent time in Montana and Idaho in the 1970's. It is possible that Davis chose to leave his residence of his own accord, but his family continues to search for him. JOHN WESLEY DAVIS WHITE MALE, DOB: 03/09/48 HEIGHT: 5'11" WEIGHT: 165 HAIR: BLOND EYES: BLUE Note: Photo on left if circa 1979. The Leon County Sheriff's Office is requesting assistance in locating John Wesley Davis. Davis disappeared from the Tallahassee area on or about 05 February 1981. Davis' truck was located at the Tallahassee Regional Airport. A parking stub was located in the vehicle that indicated that it was parked there at approximately 1:18 PM on that date. There is no indication of foul play. Davis was married and ran a successful contracting business in Tallahassee. He is a graduate of Florida State University and he enjoys writing. According to family members, Davis spent a great deal of time in Montana and Idaho as a young man. He enjoys fishing and hunting in those areas. Davis' family also owned property in Maine at one point in time. Davis has no prior military service and no criminal history. No fingerprint information has been located for him. Additionally, Davis has no history of mental health problems nor were there any diagnosed medical problems. There is no specific indication that Davis' disappearance involves foul play.
