On April 8th 2006 at 1:25 p.m., members of the Hope RCMP attended to a remote forest area near Hope for a report of found human remains. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is currently conducting a homicide investigation into the discovery of the human remains of a teenaged female that was murdered sometime prior to 2006. The police have not been able to identify the victim to date and are seeking the public’s assistance.

The victim is described as:

Female, approximately 5'0" to 5"3" tall, age 12 to 17 years old, with long reddish brown hair that may have been dyed. A forensic dentist had examined the victim’s teeth and reported that the victim had all her teeth, they were in impeccable cosmetic condition, with excellent dental care and oral hygiene.

As the investigation progresses the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team will be releasing more information in relation to the physical description. Currently, forensic specialist (Forensic Dentist, Anthropologist, DNA, Coroner, Forensic Artist) are continuing there investigation of the victim to establish further characteristics to aid the investigators with the identification. A composite drawing is expected next week.
