The Medical Examiner's Office is asking the public's help in identifying a woman who was struck by more than one vehicle and killed March 10 on Interstate 805 in Otay Mesa.

The woman was driving south in a Nissan Altima shortly before 5:30 a.m. when she collided with another vehicle south of Palm Avenue.

The woman got out of the Nissan and was struck by other vehicles. She died of major blunt-force injuries.

She was not carrying identification. She is described as light-skinned black or Latina. She appeared to be in her mid-teens to early 20s, 5 feet 2 inches tall, 124 pounds, with brown eyes and shoulder-length, curly hair dyed auburn.

She had three tattoos: the word “Joksa” on her right bicep; “Joksa” and “D.Y.M.” on a cross wrapped with a ribbon on her lower back; and “Joks” and some illegible letters on her left hand, near the thumb. She wore black denim pants, white turtleneck, gray sweat jacket and sandals.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Medical Examiner's Office at (858) 694-2905 about case #06-558.
