Remains found at KCK lake identified as those of missing man

Wyandotte County authorities said Tuesday that remains found at a lake near downtown Kansas City, Kan., were those of a missing Kansas City, Kan., man.

The remains of 61-year-old William Boyd Jr. were found on Aug. 11 at Big Eleven Lake at 11th Street and Washington Boulevard, according to the Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Office.

Boyd, known as “Bucky,” lived nearby and was known to frequently visit the lake.
