PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) - The Multnomah County Medical Examiner’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying a man who was found dead at Beggars Tick Wildlife Refuge last month.

The body was discovered in the southeast Portland park June 27. The man is believed to have died in late April, according to the medical examiner.

The man was white and 50 to 60 years old. He was 5 feet 4 inches tall with a white stubble beard. He was missing several teeth.

The man was wearing PrAna pants, a black studded belt and size 12 Nike shoes with an “NYC” logo on the heels.

He was also wearing distinctive jewelry, including a ring with a Harley Davidson logo and tribal design, a ring with a gray band and yellow pattern and a bracelet with gray and black metal links.

Police previously said an autopsy showed no signs of trauma on the body.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact the Multnomah County Medical Examiner’s Office at 971-673-8220 and reference case number 17-1124.

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) - Police are working to identify the man whose body was found at Beggars Tick Wildlife Refuge in southeast Portland.

A Portland Parks & Recreation employee found the body Tuesday morning off Southeast 111th Avenue.

Crews recovered the body and it was turned over to the Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office.

Police said Friday that there were no signs of trauma found during an autopsy, but the person has not been identified.

The body is described as a white man, 50 to 60 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall with a medium build, light facial hair or stubble with some missing teeth. He was wearing Nike Velcro-strap shoes, hospital-type ankle socks with grip on the bottom and dark-colored denim pants.

He was carrying a key fob to a Ford vehicle and other keys stamped "Curly's," which investigators believe are from Curly's Locksmith in Vancouver.

The man was wearing some jewelry, including a ring with a Harley Davidson logo.

Photos of some of the items were released by detectives Friday.

The body was believed to be in the water for at least two months.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Lori Fonken at 503-823-1081 or email missing@portlandoregon.gov.
