BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -
Skeletal remains found in Birmingham earlier this week have been identified as Walter Richardson, a missing Gulf War Veteran.

The Jefferson County Coroner's Office says they identified the body through medical records from previous surgeries.

Richardson's remains were found Tuesday on Prince Avenue near Five Points West.

Richardson, 60, was from Mississippi. He was last seen in Birmingham on July 6. His family brought him to Birmingham for treatment at the VA Medical Center.

Richardson was staying at a boarding home on Warrior Road when he disappeared. No foul play is suspected, but an exact cause of death has not been determined.http://www.wbrc.com/story/36063375/skeleta...ulf-war-veteran
