http://www.neshobademocrat.com/Content/NEW...man/2/297/41310 Organized search Saturday for missing man TAYLOR RAYBURN, STAFF REPORTER Wednesday, July 5, 2017 6:00 PM Crystal McKinney hopes that she and her family will find closure in an organized search by volunteers on Saturday for her brother Bruce Scott Smith, who has been missing since April. “Well of course we are hoping to find him alive and well,” McKinney said. “But at this point we need some closure. We just need to know what happened to him and where he is at.” Smith, 32, is described as 5 foot 9 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, with short brown hair and hazel eyes. He was reportedly last seen at the intersection of Kosciusko Road and Robin Hood Circle. McKinney said they hope to have at least 50 volunteers who will look around the area where he was last seen. The search will from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration for the search is from 8:15 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at a table set-up in the parking lot of First United Pentecostal Church on Saturday. McKinney asked that people who wish to search text their information to her at 601-575-0194 so she can go ahead and prep cards for each volunteer that will include their name, phone, emergency contact, relationship to her brother and contact’s phone number. They also ask that searchers not bring children. “We would just appreciate anyone, who could and is physically able to come out and search, to please come and help us,” McKinney said. “If you are not physically able or you are not going to be able to attend the search, please just keep our family in your prayers.” She said that volunteers will also wear yellow tape on their clothing so that they can easily be found if they get separated from the rest of the search team. They will also have water, Gatorade and snacks for the volunteers. Some notable physical features about Smith are that he has a scar on his back as well as multiple tattoos. He has a tattoo on his right arm that says, ‘Redneck’ and a tattoo on his left arm that reads ‘Romeo.’ He has a tattoo on his back that says ‘Smith’ and then one on his chest that reads ‘Laura Jo.’ Anyone knowing the whereabouts of a man matching this description should call the Philadelphia Police Department at 601-656-2131.
