VERDI, Nev. (KOLO) - The Washoe County Medical Examiner's Office has positively identified the woman found dead Thursday night in the Truckee River as 32-year-old Sarah Duncan.

She disappeared June 21, 2017 after being seen falling from a raft. The cause of death has not been established.

Her body was found about two miles from where she disappeared.
The HASTY team searching in the water found the body east of Bridge Street in Verdi in an area difficult to reach, according to Washoe County Sheriff's spokesman Bob Harmon. Search and rescue volunteers had also been searching from the bank.

Duncan fell into the Truckee River near Crystal Peak Park in the Verdi area. Harmon said the search divided in two crews, with one searching from Crystal Peak Park to the River Bend area and a second starting at River Bend and going to Mayberry Park.
