http://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com/2017/06/11/...killed-no-body/ Report: Man Charged In Missing Woman’s Death, Body Not Yet Found June 11, 2017 5:40 PM Filed Under: Butler, Butler City Police, Ishemer Ramsey, Missing Woman BUTLER (KDKA) — A man is facing charges for fatally shooting a woman who went missing in Butler on Thursday. Butler City Police reported Friday that Melissa “Missy” Barto was missing. She was last seen Thursday afternoon. Police say she may have gotten into a silver SUV on Route 8 South under the Hansen Avenue bridge. The Butler Eagle reports that state police arrested 21-year-old Ishemer D. Ramsey, of Lyndora, on Sunday morning, charging him for fatally shooting Barto. Police haven’t found Barto’s body, but they received several tips Saturday that led them to believe she was killed Thursday. According to court documents obtained by the Butler Eagle, Ramsey told a witness he shot Barto in the head multiple times during an argument in his car because he thought she was cheating on him. The Butler Eagle says police conducted a traffic stop on Ramsey and took him into custody Sunday. The car smelled like bleach, and the passenger seat was missing. Ramsey also had a pistol on him when he was taken into custody. |

May Melissa Rest in Peace ![]() http://www.wtae.com/article/what-he-did-to...mother/10015171 ‘What he did to her is beyond description’ Police detail discovery of body during search for missing Butler County mother A second suspect is now facing charges in connection with the case WTAE | Updated: 10:07 AM EDT Jun 13, 2017 Nick Matoney Action News This Morning Producer BUTLER, Pa. — Investigators have charged 2 men in connection with the death of Melissa Barto, 26, a mother from Butler who was reported missing when she failed to show up for her 6-year-old child’s kindergarten graduation. A body believed to be Barto’s was discovered in Lawrence County late Monday night. Barto’s boyfriend, Ishemer Ramsey, 21, was charged with homicide in the case. “He’s going to be charged,” said Lt. Eric Hermick with the Pennsylvania State Police. “We met with the district’s attorney’s office. In fact, they were at this scene. The Butler County’s District Attorney’s office sent representatives over to the scene to check the dynamics, the evidence and just see how horrific it was.” James Howard-George, 23, was charged with conspiracy - criminal homicide, abuse of corpse and tampering with/fabricating evidence in connection with the death. Police previously said an altercation between Barto and Ramsey led to him shooting her inside of his car. It is not known how Howard-George was connected to Barto or the crime. “By all accounts this victim was a respectable young woman,” Hermick said, “and the guy who killed her is a monster and what he did to her is beyond description.” Ramsey and Howard-George are being held in the Butler County Jail. |
