Orange County Human Remains Identified as Missing Hillsborough Woman
Human remains discovered earlier this month in Orange County have been identified as an individual reported missing in Hillsborough in 2015.

Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office responded to a wooded area of Buckhorn Road in Mebane on May 16 after personnel from the state Department of Transportation located human remains.

Authorities say evidence led investigators to a missing person report for Stephanie Michele Rogers from Hillsborough Police on May 7, 2015.

Through dental records, North Carolina Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Deborah Radisch identified the remains as Rogers, according to a release.

The cause of death is unknown, but officials say foul play is not suspected.

Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to contact the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.http://chapelboro.com/news/safety/orange-c...lsborough-woman
