Police find car of missing woman's boyfriend
Linh Ta 3:55 p.m. CT May 22, 2017

The vehicle of a missing woman's boyfriend was found in Colfax, according to Des Moines police.

Lisa Diehm, 56, was last seen in Johnston on the afternoon of May 10, according to a Des Moines police news release.

Investigators do not believe Diehm was abducted, but they are concerned for her safety. Diehm is believed to be with her boyfriend, Jess Solinger, 54.

Solinger has a history of domestic violence and currently has an active arrest warrant for domestic abuse for an incident in Monroe County on May 6, in which he allegedly assaulted Diehm, according to the news release.

Solinger’s white Ford F-150 pickup truck was recovered in Colfax.

Lisa Diehm’s 2012 silver Subaru Legacy has not been located as of yet.

Her Iowa license plate is ENC 189.

Solinger and Diehm are still unaccounted for.

Anyone with any information regarding the location of Diehm and/or Solinger is asked to call the Des Moines Police Department at 515-283-4811.

Officials Concerned For Safety of Missing Iowa Woman Lisa Diehm

It’s been nearly a month since Lisa Diehm vanished.

Lisa Diehm Des Moines Police Department
And as each day passes, her family and friends grow increasingly concerned for her safety.

Investigators do not believe Lisa was abducted, but they think she may be in danger in the company of her boyfriend, Jess Solinger, who has a history of domestic violence.

There is an active arrest warrant for Solinger in connection with a domestic abuse incident involving Lisa that took place just days before the two vanished. According to family members, the incident left Lisa with a broken nose and severe pain in her back.

The last time anyone saw or spoke with Lisa was on May 10. The 56-year-old had just had lunch with her two sisters in Johnston, Iowa, before saying she was going to go to one of her daughters’ houses to rest, according to the missing poster being circulated online by family members.

Lisa never arrived at her daughter’s house. No one has heard from her since.

Nearly two weeks after Lisa vanished, police found Solinger’s white Ford F-150 pickup truck abandoned in Colfax, about an hour and a half west of where Lisa was last seen.

Lisa’s 2012 silver Subaru Legacy with license plate ENC 189 remains missing.

Whatever the situation, postings from family members online urge anyone with information about Lisa’s whereabouts to come forward.

Lisa Diehm is described as 5’8” tall, weighing 125 lbs., with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Solinger is described as 6’ tall, weighing 235 lbs., with grey hair and a beard, which may have been shaved.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Des Moines Police Department at (515) 283-4864.
