The body found in French Valley last week was that of 45-year-old Alfredo Rodriguez, who had been reported missing almost two weeks earlier, the Riverside County Sheriff/Coroner’s Office confirmed Tuesday, May 16.

Alfredo Rodriguez, 45, was last seen Tuesday on a street near his home and has not been seen since. His family is asking the public's help in locating him (Photo courtesy of the Rodriguez family).

Riverside County Sheriff/Coroner’s office has identified the body found last week as that of Alfredo Rodriguez, 45, who disappeared from his French Valley area home May 2.
The coroner continued to list a “found” time of 12:43 p.m. Friday, May 12, and had the date of death as “pending investigation.”

Rodriguez’ family concluded the body was the missing man’s after it was found in a landscaped area off Washington Street north of Cottonwood Road, close to where he was last seen on surveillance video May 2, near Lake Skinner.

Authorities have not addressed a possible cause of death, but Angelina Rodriguez said earlier this week that her husband had been struggling with depression and anxiety. She said she hoped her husband’s death might raise awareness of those issues.

Rodriguez had left his nearby home without his keys, wallet and cellphone.
