http://www.oregonlive.com/pacific-northwes...spect_foul.html No foul play suspected in death of missing man found on riverbank Updated on May 22, 2017 at 4:22 PM Posted on May 22, 2017 at 3:38 PM BY JIM RYAN Authorities don't suspect a man whose remains were found on a bank of the South Umpqua River died of foul play, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office. The agency announced Monday that authorities have wrapped up their investigation into the death of Brian David Clark, a Myrtle Creek resident whose remains were found on the riverbank last Monday. The agency didn't say specifically how he died. Clark had been reported missing to the sheriff's office in December, the agency said in a news release. He was 43 at the time. A 911 caller reported walking in the area of the riverbank — near milepost 108 on Interstate 5 in Myrtle Creek — and seeing what looked to be human remains, the sheriff's office said. Authorities arrived and confirmed the remains were human. |
