(Photo by KEN STEINHARDT, Orange County Register/SCNG) By ALMA FAUSTO | afausto@scng.com | Orange County Register PUBLISHED: April 25, 2017 at 11:20 am | UPDATED: April 25, 2017 at 5:58 pm Authorities on Tuesday confirmed that the body found Monday in Chino Hills State Park was that of 43-year-old Sokha Pho of Long Beach who had been reported missing by his family after not returning Sunday from mountain biking. The coroner’s office of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said he was found by an air team unresponsive on a hillside near Faultline Trail. The body had suffered trauma. Specifics on Pho’s injuries and the cause of death will likely not be available until the coroner finishes an autopsy, which should begin later this week or next week, said Cindy Bachman, a spokeswoman for the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department. Pho was reported missing after he failed to show up at his mother’s home, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, which assisted in the search. Search-and-rescue deputies had begun searching at around 7:30 p.m. Sunday on foot and with helicopters. Chino Hills State Park is in both San Bernardino and Orange counties. http://www.ocregister.com/2017/04/25/body-...of-missing-man/ |
