http://www.wtae.com/article/police-seek-nu...ve-uber/9517441 Police seek nursing student who drove part-time for Uber AP | Updated: 8:23 AM EDT Apr 17, 2017 ABINGTON, Pa. — Police are trying to find a Pennsylvania nurse who was last heard from while driving for ride-sharing service Uber. Abington Township police say 45-year-old Krysten Laib was last seen April 11. Her mother tells police that she texted the Montgomery County woman that morning, who told her she was driving a passenger to the Philadelphia area. Police have tracked down that passenger and determined that person has nothing to do with Laib's disappearance. Township Detective Stephen Fink says there's been no trace since of Laib or her vehicle, an olive green 2003 Subaru Legacy with a Pennsylvania license plate, HJA-8582. Police have no leads, but also say they have no reason to suspect foul play at this time. |

Abington Uber driver’s body found Police earlier reported suspected suicide By Linda Finarelli lfinarelli@21st-centurymedia.com @lkfinarelli on Twitter 5 hrs ago Comments ABINGTON >> The body of an Abington woman who had been reported missing April 14 was found April 26, Abington police reported Friday. Abington police were “notified by the Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s Office that the body of Krysten Laib was positively identified after she was found deceased on April 26,” police said in a brief April 28 news release. Police declined to provide details on where or how Laib’s body was found or the cause of death. Police previously reported the 45-year-old Abington resident, who was working as an Uber driver, was last seen April 11 at 4:45 a.m. in Philadelphia. She had dropped off her last passenger on the 2700 block of Axe Factory Road in Philadelphia prior to her last contact with her mother. Her family reported her missing after she subsequently failed to answer her cellphone or make any attempt to contact family members. On April 17, police reported Laib’s vehicle was found at the base of the Ben Franklin Bridge on the Pennsylvania side, and there was “strong evidence to suggest that her disappearance was voluntary and that she was intent on harming herself.” Police did not comment on why it was believed she wanted to harm herself. http://www.montgomerynews.com/timeschronic...6bd6d2421a.html |
