The Tennessee resident was last in Springfield on Tuesday night. (Courtesy/Springfield Police Division) Cassandra Fox is said to be missing and Springfield police have opened a missing persons case. The Tennessee resident was last in Springfield on Tuesday night. The Springfield Police Division has opened a missing persons case for a 32-year-old Tennessee woman who apparently was last seen in the 1700 block of Winding Trail in Springfield. Cassandra Fox, of the 1100 block of White Tail Lane in Sevierville, Tenn., arrived in Springfield on Tuesday, according to what Springfield police have been able to learn. Fox was last seen Tuesday evening about 10:!5 p.m. in the 1700 block of Winding Trail. Fox is described as white, 5 feet 4 inches tall and about 120 pounds. She has brown hair and blue eyes. Springfield police investigators on Thursday night released a photo of Fox, but when that photo was taken is not certain. HAVE A NEWS TIP? Body found near Buck Creek that of missing Tennessee woman CRIME By Allyson Brown - Staff Writer ... The body found Monday night near Buck Creek has been identified as Cassandra Fox. Posted: 2:40 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2017 The Springfield Police Division confirmed Wednesday that the body found this week near Buck Creek is a missing woman from Tennessee. Cassandra R. Fox, 32, of Sevierville, Tenn., was last seen Tuesday, April 4, near the 1700 block of Winding Trail in Springfield. RELATED: Reward offered for missing woman last seen in Springfield Her sister Erin Laywell said she and another family member identified the body Tuesday. The family had announced Monday they were offering a $500 reward for information that lead to finding her. Later that day Springfield Police found a woman’s body in a grassy area near Buck Creek, just off the North Belmont Avenue bridge. Authorities and family members had been searching for Fox for almost a week before she was found.
