Ed Laskos reports.

UPDATED:FEB 02 2017 10:36PM PST

GLENDALE (FOX 11 / CNS) - A missing Glendale woman's car was found Thursday along Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu with the 20-year-old's keys, cell phone and other personal belongings inside.

Elaine Park had been reported missing on Monday after she failed to return home following a date on Saturday night with her boyfriend, according to Glendale police Sgt. Robert William.

Park had been considered to be voluntarily missing until deputies found her 2015 Honda Civic parked near Corral Canyon Road, William said.

Her status has now been changed to "critical missing,'' he said.

"At this point we are actively searching for her,'' William said, adding that Glendale police detectives responded to Malibu to investigate. "We are very concerned for her well being.''

Investigators questioned Park's boyfriend, who has been "completely cooperative,'' William said.

Park is Korean-American, 5 feet 6 inches tall, about 125 pounds, has brown eyes and long brown hair with blonde tips and often wears heavy makeup. She has a cow skull tattoo on her upper left arm and another tattoo on her lower left arm, William said.

Anyone with information regarding Park's whereabouts was urged to call Glendale police at (818) 48-4911.

Anonymous tips can be submitted through Crime Stoppers by calling (800) 222-TIPS.

POSTED 12:43 PM, FEBRUARY 20, 2017, BY NISHA GUTIERREZ-JAIME, UPDATED AT 02:18PM, FEBRUARY 20, 2017

A $5,000 reward is being offered in the search for a Glendale woman who has been missing since last month.

.
Elaine Park is seen in a driver’s license photo released Feb. 2, 2017, by the Glendale Police Department.
Elaine Park, 20, was last seen in the early morning of Saturday, Jan. 28 and was reported missing by her family on Jan. 30, according to the Glendale Police Department. Her car was found Feb. 2 on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu with the keys and some of Park’s personal belongings still inside, authorities said.

Family members told KTLA Park was last seen leaving her ex-boyfriend’s home located in the 2600 block of Delphine Lane in Calabasas.

Park’s family has created a Facebook page and is offering the $5,000 reward to help in the search.

Park was wearing jean shorts and a jacket on the day she disappeared.

She is described as a thin, Korean-American woman measuring 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing around 125 pounds. She has long brown hair with blonde tips and brown eyes, as is known to wear heavy mascara and make up, police said. She also reportedly has a tattoo of a cow skull on her upper left arm with another, a moth on her left arm, a rose on her left shoulder and a dagger on her right arm.

Police: All leads ‘exhausted’ in search for missing Glendale woman Elaine Park
By Wes Woods, Los Angeles Daily News
POSTED: 03/07/17, 10:23 PM PST | UPDATED: 4 DAYS AGO 0 COMMENTS

Authorities said on Tuesday they have exhausted all leads in the case of Elaine Park, the missing 20-year-old Glendale woman last seen on Jan. 28, and are looking for help.

“So far, every lead that we’ve had and every physical search we’ve conducted, we’ve exhausted and we haven’t had any luck in terms of the leads that we’ve gotten from tips,” said Glendale Police Department Sgt. Robert William on Tuesday at a news conference, where Glendale police, the Korean American Federation of Los Angeles and deputies from the Malibu/Lost Hills Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Station called for help in finding Park.

She was last seen in the 2600 block of Delphine Lane in Calabasas.

“We’re asking for anyone that knows Elaine, or anyone that knows anything about the disappearance to come forward,” William said.

Park was last seen by her boyfriend around 6 a.m. Jan. 28 in Calabasas, and family members reported her missing on Jan. 30 when she did not return home, police said.

Her vehicle, a 2015 4-door Honda, was found parked in the Malibu area on Feb. 2, near Pacific Coast Highway and Corral Canyon Road with her keys, cellphone, laptop and other personal property inside. William said the finding changed the investigation from a voluntary missing person case to an involuntary missing person one.

“What was suspicious about it was the key was inside the vehicle, inside the ignition, and some of Elaine’s personal property was found inside the vehicle, her laptop, her purse,” William said. “For someone to leave those things in the vehicle is suspicious enough for us to escalate the investigation.”

However, officials said multiple times during the news conference they aren’t looking at Park’s boyfriend as a person of interest or a suspect.

“Up to this point there hasn’t been any evidence or suspicion to dig into him,” William said. “He’s been cooperative. He’s given us more information than anyone else has to date. The family has been very cooperative to give us information to their security camera. They’ve been supportive with our investigation. Could that change later? Sure. But that’s only if we get some sort of information or some sort of lead to take us there.”

The case has spurred the Korean American Federation of L.A. into action.

“We need the public and our community to come forward with any information you may have regarding Elaine Park’s disappearance,” said Korean American Federation of L.A. Vice President Emile Mack at the news conference, which was held in Los Angeles at the federation’s headquarters.

Susan Park, Elaine’s mother, said she’s appreciative of the support she’s received from the Korean American Association of L.A. and others, but she is worried about her daughter.

“I think it’s too late now,” Park said after the news conference. “I feel like because it’s the 33rd day I feel like we’ve wasted time. The only thing left is to just spread the word and do an on-foot search around the last person who saw her, which is in Calabasas and the hiking area of Corral Canyon.”

Park, who is Korean-American, has a thin build and is 5 foot 6 inches tall and 125 pounds, authorities said.

She also has long brown hair with blonde tips and brown eyes and has been known to wear heavy mascara and makeup, authorities added.

Park has a tattoo of a cow skull on her upper left arm area with an unknown tattoo on her lower left arm.

A reward of $5,000 was offered last week from family members for information leading to finding Elaine Park.

If anyone has information about the disappearance of Elaine Park, contact the Glendale Police Department at 818-548-4911.

'There's definitely foul play': Mother of missing La Crescenta woman presses police to do more
Andy Nguyen

Susan Park said on Tuesday that Glendale police have not done enough to find her 20-year-old daughter, Elaine, who has been missing since Jan. 28.

The La Crescenta woman's comments came following a press conference held by the Korean American Federation of Los Angeles.

Group members had reached out to Susan Park late last week to offer their help in spreading the word about her daughter's disappearance.

During the press conference, Sgt. Robert William of the Glendale Police Department said there is no evidence to suggest Elaine Park's boyfriend was involved. He said the boyfriend has been cooperative with police and given them a large amount of information including numerous statements and even security camera footage from the night Elaine Park disappeared.

After her disappearance, Elaine Park's car was found parked along Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu. The keys to the abandoned vehicle were found inside the ignition, and several personal items, including her purse and cellphone, were also found.

William said there has been no evidence of foul play or a struggle at the site — even after a search was conducted from the ground and air as well as in the ocean.

FOR THE RECORD

3/8, 5:09 p.m.: A previous version of this story included accusatory comments made by the missing woman's mother. Those comments have been removed.

---------------------------------------

A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to Elaine Park's location and a GoFundMe page called "Help Find Elaine Park" has received over $12,000. The money was used by Susan Park to hire a private investigator, who, she said, has "revealed quite a bit of information," but declined to say what it entailed.

"There's definitely foul play. I feel that there's foul play involved," Susan Park said.

Anyone with information about Elaine Park is asked to contact the Glendale Police Department at (818) 548-4911. They can also call the private investigator, Jayden Brant, at (310) 201-7613.
