http://valleycentral.com/news/local/police...n-still-missing Police: Special operation unsuccessful, 19-year-old San Benito woman still missing by CBS 4 News Tuesday, January 3rd 2017 The Harlingen Police Department announced Tuesday that a six-week long special operation failed to locate missing 19-year-old Nahomi Rodriguez, according to a news release. The Harlingen Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit, the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, the Department of Public Safety, Cameron County Emergency Management, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Cameron County District Attorney’s Office, and the Cameron County Sheriff’s Office assisted in following a specific tip that was believed to lead them to Rodriguez's whereabouts. An extensive operation executed on Tuesday "eliminated the tip as credible", according to the news release. Authorities will continue to search for Rodriguez. Rodriguez went missing in mid-July after asking an unknown man for a ride home following her shift at McDonald's located at 602 North 77 Sunshine Strip, according to a news release from the Harlingen Police Department. She was last seen wearing a black shirt, black pants, and a black hat. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact the Harlingen Area Crime Stoppers at 956-425-TIPS(8477).
