GENESEE COUNTY, MI -- Police in Burton and Flint Township are searching for information to help find two women that have been missing for weeks.

Burton police Detective Don Schreiber said Teresa Towne-Woolard was last seen Dec. 5 at Kings Lane Apartments off Hemphill Road where she lives.

"It's not like her at all to not contact her daughters daily, by either phone or text," he said, with the family having contacted police after her extended absence.

Towne-Woolard's phone is still active, but Schreiber said it goes straight to voicemail. An acquaintance made contact with her on Dec. 10, but Schreiber said it was the last time anyone she knows had spoken with her.

She is described as a white female, 5-foot-4 inches tall, with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Flint Township police are also seeking assistance to find a woman that hasn't been seen by friends or family since Dec. 2.

Laquandra Shavonne Slater, 38, is an African-American woman standing 5-foot-4 inches tall, weighs 178 pounds, and has short black hair.

Her vehicle was located around Atherton Road and Van Slyke Road in Flint and appeared to be abandoned. A missing person reported was filed with Flint Township police Dec. 8.

Slater has cheek, lip, and eyebrow piercings, as well as multiple tattoos on her neck, arms, and legs, police said.

Anyone with information on Slater's location is urged to contact Flint Township police Detective Doug Hart at 810-600-3250.

Those with information on Towne-Woolard's whereabouts may contact Schreiber at 810-244-1545.
