Reward offered to find missing Lakewood mother
POSTED 12:46 PM, NOVEMBER 9, 2016, BY PEGGY GALLEK

LAKEWOOD– The FBI and Lakewood police are asking for the public's help in locating a missing woman.

24-year-old Roaa Al-Dhannoon has been missing since October 16.

Her ex-husband was arrested in an unrelated charge but has not been charged with her disappearance.

The 24-year-old is 5 foot 4 inches tall and about 132 pounds. She has a tattoo on her left hand and wrist.

Roaa was last seen at her apartment on Edgewater Drive in Lakewood.

Police say Roaa is the mother of a 3-year-old and it is not like her to leave without notifying anyone.

"We really don't have any good information about where she might be at this point, so we need to find her and that is why were reaching out for your assistance so we can bring her back home," said Lakewood Police Chief Tim Malley.

A reward is now being offered to help find her. Anyone with any information is asked to call police as soon as possible.

LAKEWOOD, OH (WOIO) -
Investigators continue to search for a missing 24-year-old Lakewood mother.

?Lakewood police and the FBI are offering a reward to anyone who finds Roaa S Al Dhannoon, or for information that helps locate her. Police have been looking for her since Oct. 16.

Her ex-husband, Fahad Mohammed Saeed, visited her the morning before she disappeared, said Lakewood police Chief Tim Malley.

He was charged with violation of a protection order on Oct. 28 after investigators found out he had contact with her and their 3-year-old son. He is out on bond, and has not been charged with anything in connection to her disappearance.

Police searched for Al Dhannoon at the Metroparks in Brooklyn on Tuesday, but did not find anything.

Al Dhannoon’s boss, Dani Krasnicki, is concerned.

“This is not Roaa at all," she said. "She would always come to work and always tell us where she was.”

Malley said there has been no cellphone contact, and Al Dhannoon has not used credit or debit card since she disappeared.

Friends and coworkers are hoping she is found safely, soon.

“It is very difficult,” Krasnicki said. "We're all just bonding together and praying for her and wishing for her safe return."

LAKEWOOD - The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has confirmed the remains found in a container near a Brooklyn creek Monday are that of Roaa Al-Dhannoon.

Al-Dhannoon, 24, had been missing since last October. The mother to a 3-year-old boy had last been seen at her Edgewater Drive apartment in Lakewood.

Al-Dhannoon's ex-husband told WKYC he believed she had left the country for Iraq. The couple had been divorced for a month prior to Al-Dhannoon's disappearance. Her ex-husband says he spent six days in jail after Al-Dhannoon went missing.

The container was found buried near Big Creek in a wooded area in the rear of Parkview Estates Apartments on Memphis Avenue.

A cause of death has not been determined.

Police will hold a news conference to provide more details Thursday at 11 a.m.

Ex-husband of missing Lakewood mom found dead in wooded area charged with murder
POSTED 7:46 AM, MAY 18, 2017, BY JESSICA BATES, MATT WRIGHT AND JESSICA DILL, UPDATED AT 11:46AM, MAY 18, 2017

LAKEWOOD, Ohio -- The ex-husband of a missing Lakewood mom found dead in a wooded area earlier this week, has now been charged with her murder.

Lakewood police, The Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office and the FBI held a news conference Thursday morning updating the public on the case.

Authorities said, Fahad Saeed, husband of Roaa Al Dhannoon, charged with 15 counts including aggravated murder and kidnapping.

Roaa Al Dhannoon, 25, disappeared from her Lakewood apartment in October. Investigators discovered her remains Monday, buried inside a container in a wooded area behind an apartment building on Memphis Avenue in Brooklyn.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office used fingerprints to confirm her identity. Her cause of death has not yet been released.

Roaa leaves behind a 4-year-old son, who is currently in protective custody. Both of her parents are overseas.

Several months ago, Saeed was arrested for a violation of a protection order. Another man was also arrested in the case. Court records show Amar Sami, 22, pleaded guilty to obstructing justice for lying to investigators who were looking into her disappearance.

Neighbors at her apartment building say the FBI has been investigating there constantly.

Sources tell FOX 8 News, surveillance video shows Sami and Saeed purchasing shovels after Al Dhannoon's disappearance.

Authorities say with the 15 counts, Saeed faces up to life in prison without the possibility of parole and that their investigation is far from over. More charges could be handed down in the case.

Sami will be sentenced on the obstruction of justice charge on May 25.
