Brookhaven, GA, December 29, 2015 – The Post Reports – Brookhaven Police are continuing their search for 78-year-old Janet Sue Miller, who suffers from dementia and has been missing since Christmas Eve.

Tuesday morning, Police began utilizing the DeKalb County helicopter, as well as the City’s K-9 unit.

Unfortunately, those efforts did not produce any new information.

Police say they are utilizing every tool at their disposal to locate Ms. Miller, and urges the public to continue to share the story and show the photos in hopes she will be found.

Major Brandon Gurley told the Post, “We have alerted the City of Atlanta in the event she may have wandered in to Buckhead, as well.”

On December 27, 2015 at approximately 12:27 PM, Brookhaven Police Officers responded to 1322 Briarwood Road on a welfare check. Officers met with the caller and learned Ms. Miller has not been seen since December 24, 2015 at approximately 7:00 PM.

Police say Janet Sue Miller suffers from dementia and was last seen wearing glasses, an unknown color long dress, and black shoes.

Brookhaven police spent Tuesday afternoon searching for a 78-year-old woman who has been missing since December.

Family members say Janet S. Miller has been missing since Christmas Eve.


Police and her church congregation took part in a detailed ground search on Tuesday.

“We are trying to exhaust every resource we have available to us,” said Officer Carlos Nino. “We will have the assistance of search two search dogs during the search efforts.”

The 78-year old woman's closet relative is a brother in Ohio.

Janet Sue Miller suffers from dementia. She was last seen wearing glasses, long dress, and black shoes.
