PUTNAM COUNTY — A Putnam County man has been missing since September, and the sheriff’s department is asking the public to help.

James Waylon Kirby, a 47-year-old white male, was last seen by a family member on Sept. 18, in the Dyer Ridge Road area of Baxter. Kirby was reportedly wearing camouflage clothing, according to the Putnam Sheriff’s Department’s Facebook page.

Kirby is described as being 6’2” tall and weighing 160 pounds with balding hair and brown eyes. Kirby could also have facial hair and glasses.

Anyone with information on James Kirby is asked to call Detective Bryan Cook of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department at (931) 528-8484, ext. 3262.
