ROCK CREEK -
Human remains found in the Welcome Creek Wilderness 15 miles up Rock Creek have been sent to the State Crime Lab in Missoula, the Granite County Sheriff says.

Sheriff Scott Dunkerson says a hiker from Missoula found the remains on Saturday and later led the members of the Sheriff's department, a medical examiner and Search and Rescue team to the scene.

Dunkerson describes the remains as "older" and says they cannot be identified as male or female at this time.

The incident is under investigation.

Only after the last tree has been
cut down;
Only after the last fish has been
caught;
Only after the last river has been
poisoned;
Only then will you realize
that money cannot be eaten.
