http://billingsgazette.com/news/local/body...118af9a717.html (Assuming the t-shirt was his and not borrowed/donated, these shirts are typically given to cancer survivors who walk in the Relay for Life.) Remains of man found north of Hardin; no foul play suspected Print Email 10 hours ago • By DEREK BROUWER A human corpse was discovered north of Hardin on Sunday by the Big Horn County Sheriff's office, according to Undersheriff Michael Fuss. The decomposing body was reported to authorities on Sunday afternoon and was located 17 miles north of Hardin, an email from the sheriff's office states. No foul play is expected at this time, Fuss said in a subsequent phone call, though the deceased male individual has not been identified. He is described as 60-plus-year-old Caucasian, approximately 5-foot-11-inches tall, with dark gray hair. He was wearing jeans, red socks and a 2012 Relay for Life survivor T-shirt, according to the sheriff's office. An autopsy has been performed on the remains, the email states, but results were not immediately available Monday evening. The body was found on a river rock bed, near Sunlight Ranch, about three-fourths of a mile off a dirt road, Fuss said. He said the high degree of decomposition suggests the body had been there for more than a week. "We're thinking he was in the river, and when the river dropped, he came to the surface," Fuss said. "This is so far down from any fishing access, I don't even understand it," he added. Fuss said the investigation is ongoing. Law enforcement officials are requesting that anyone with information about the man contact the Big Horn County Sheriff's office at 665-9780. |
