KMOV.com) -- St. Louis Firefighters pulled a body out of the Mississippi River in downtown St. Louis Saturday morning that they believe had been deceased for many days by the time it was discovered. Firefighters said they were training out on the water when they heard chatter from a tug boat that claimed to have seen a body floating near the Eads Bridge around 11 a.m. Authorities said when they discovered the body, it was floating down the middle of the river. They called in another boat to help load the body onto the boat. Firefighters said they have turned the case over to police. It has not been indicated if foul play was suspected and the identity of the victim is unknown. No other details about the incident have been released yet.
