KANSAS CITY, Mo. —Kansas City police are investing after human remains were found Friday afternoon. Police dispatch confirms that the remains were found around 3 p.m. in the area of 107th Street and Fuller Avenue. It is believed the body had been there awhile, and it is described as badly decomposed by police dispatch. Police were alerted when someone called 911. The discovery was made in an area not far from Ewing Park. Police have not said who made the discovery. Police have not identified who the person is or whether the body is that of a male or female. KMBC 9 News reporter Scott McDonnell is on the scene. He reports police have entered the wooded area with shovels. McDonnell also reported that two teenagers and a 20-year-old discovered the remains.
