http://crimeblog.dallasnews.com/2014/06/da...ity-river.html/ Dallas police investigating human remains found in homeless encampment near Trinity River By Robert Wilonsky 12:37 pm on June 19, 2014 Dallas police say human bones have been discovered in a wooded area off California Crossing Road in Northwest Dallas. Senior corporal DeMarquis Black, a Dallas police spokesman, says the remains were found by a homeless man Thursday morning. Police say the area, off Northwest Highway near the Elm Fork of the Trinity River, is likely a homeless encampment. Black says it appears the remains have been in the area “for some time” — maybe years, adds DPD spokesman Maj. Max Geron via Twitter. For now this will be classified as an unexplained death pending an autopsy by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office. |
