Posted: May 4, 2014 - 4:45pm
By Derek Gilliam

A 12-year-old boy discovered the skeletal remains apparently of an adult male Sunday in woods that police said were frequented by homeless people.

No foul play is suspected. The remains were found about 2:30 p.m. in the 11000 block of West Beaver Street east of Baldwin. That area includes a known transient camp, said Sgt. Charice Lee of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Anyone with information can contact the Sheriff’s Office at (904) 630-0500 or First Coast Crime Stoppers at (866) 845-8477 (845-TIPS)
