WINSLOW, AZ - Authorities in northeastern Arizona say human remains have been found south of Winslow.

Navajo County Sheriff's officials say identification of the remains along with the cause and manner of death will be made by the county Medical Examiner's Office.

They say a Winslow man was out gathering cattle on a ranch Wednesday morning when he came across the remains.

He then contacted the sheriff's office.

Deputies went to the ranch site to search for evidence along with the Heber Overgaard search and rescue crew, the county sheriff's auxiliary volunteers, the county attorney's office investigator and Show Low police detectives.
