Only after the last tree has been
cut down;
Only after the last fish has been
caught;
Only after the last river has been
poisoned;
Only then will you realize
that money cannot be eaten.

ORMOND BEACH, Fla. -- A human skeleton was discovered by a homeless man in Ormond Beach Saturday morning.

The Volusia County Sheriff's Office is investigating the discovery, according to its Facebook page.

Authorities believe the naturally bleached, covered in mold bones are old. Some scraps of clothing were found around the remains, according to police.

The Sheriff's Office was notified about the remains at about 1 a.m. by the transient man.

The man led deputies to some woods in the 1700 block of West Granada Boulevard near a homeless camp.

The Volusia County Medical Examiner will take possession of the remains for examination. The Volusia County Sheriff's Office's Major Case unit is investigating.
